The Continent has shifted and Ciri’s at the center of it. That’s the tagline for season four of The Witcher from Netflix. It’s also the unifying theme of the series’ newest trailer. This trailer sends Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt out on a mission to find the powerful young woman everyone wants. And while the fate of the entire Continent rests on who can locate Ciri first, there will still be plenty of monsters and mayhem to deal with along the way. We have known The Witcher was going to fundamentally change for a long time now, but like you, we’re still getting used to the show’s new Geralt in season four. This latest look at Hemsworth’s White Wolf in action is helping with that process. A previous clip of him fighting a monster hinted that he will sound very different from the overly gruff version played by original Geralt, Henry Cavill. This trailer for The Witcher season four confirms that Hemsworth is bringing a much softer-speaking witcher to the show.
No matter how he speaks, Geralt of Rivia will still need help on his mission. And in season four, he’ll undertake his most important one yet, as Vilgefortz will look to consolidate his power on the Continent. This trailer is also our best look yet at Laurence Fishburne’s Regis. The popular book and video game character is finally joining this season. And he’ll also be joining Geralt’s caravan. We’re excited to see more of Regis after getting a glimpse of him in this trailer for The Witcher season four.
