It’s time to return to the dangerous yet wonderful land of Jumanji. The last two films were surprisingly better than we imagined they would be. So it is not shocking that another Jumanji film is in the works, with Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan set to return for this sequel. They make such a dynamic ensemble, right? Once again, Jake Kasdan will direct this film. We heard about this a while ago but now things are moving forward. Production will start on the film in November.
The four actors who starred as the teen quartet will return for this sequel as well. The last film did end with a few Jumanji creatures running in the real world, which suggested that their story wasn’t over yet. There will probably be new people in the mix, which could include Spencer’s mom and that repair guy, who seemed to activate the game at the end of the previous film.
Brittany O’Grady and Burn Gorman are both joining the Jumanji sequel cast in undisclosed roles. I could be wrong, but I would guess that they are maybe two avatars within the game to represent Spencer’s mom and the poor repair guy.
What Is the Release Date for the Jumanji Sequel?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the next Jumanji film will release on December 11, 2026.
