And, if you’re a Halloween fiend like us, you’re probably gearing up to watch THE Halloween movie, Trick ‘r Treat. But what if we told you, this year, you could make your Halloween tradition even better? You might think that’s a trick because how could Trick ‘r Treat be any better than it is? But really, Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Saga Arts have come together to bring you the greatest treat of all. Trick ‘r Treat is releasing nationwide in theaters for the very first time this week. AND it’s coming to you in its newly restored 4K version. But if that weren’t enough, if you’re in NYC, you can join director Michael Dougherty LIVE for an exclusive Q&A after your screening. It’s almost too many treats to fit into our pillowcase.
Join us at Regal Union Square at 7 pm today (October 14) for a screening of Trick ‘r Treat in 4K that’s followed by a hauntingly good conversation between director Michael Dougherty and Nerdist‘s Editor-in-Chief, Rotem Rusak. Of course, if you’re not in NYC, you can STILL experience the wonder of Trick ‘r Treat in theaters nationwide on October 14th and 16th. A release shares, “For two nights only, die-hard fans and curious newcomers will have the chance to relive the frights, the laughs, and the twisted traditions of this cult favorite. Plus, audiences will get bonus content straight from writer/director Michael Dougherty himself!” In addition to the 4K screening, fans will be treated to “a special featurette where Dougherty revisits the Halloween memories that inspired Trick ‘r Treat, taking us through the evocations that brought the iconic Sam to life. Generation after generation, keeping alive these rituals of indulgence in our deepest fears; our Halloween legends ultimately show how many of us are interconnected by the vibrant & macabre nature of life.” AND an all-new 4K restoration of Dougherty’s 1996 animated short, Season’s Greetings.
