MGM Studios is pulling out all the stops in its new star-studded crime thriller Crime 101. Not only do we get a criminally-charged Chris Hemsworth joining forces with a calculated Halle Berry in this high stakes heist, but we also see a persistent Mark Ruffalo trail closely on their tails. The trailer shows Hemsworth and Berry skirting the law as a relentless detective (Ruffalo) tries to put a stop to their multimillion-dollar heist. The film is set in the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles. Hemsworth is an elusive thief who robs unsuspecting passengers along the 101 freeway. Crossing paths with a disillusioned insurance broker at a crossroads of her own (Berry), the duo team up for one heinous heist. Ruffalo fights to thwart their plan, dropping hints throughout the trailer that he’s onto his former Marvel costar.
The heist thriller comes from director Bart Layton and co-written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Peter Straughan. The film is adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella. Joining the well-renowned trio are Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, and Devon Bostick.
