Inspired by holiday season Advent calendars, the Disney Store is offering its unique spin on the concept, with a brand new Star Wars-themed mini-lightsaber countdown calendar. Presented in small individual display crates, each of the 12 hilts is a detailed replica of the life-size Legacy Lightsaber Hilts. Each of the mini lightsabers from this Advent calendar belongs to an iconic Jedi knight or Sith warrior from the galaxy far, far away. The crates each feature a display card and can stack on top of each other as you count down to your special occasion. Maybe it’s Christmas, or a birthday, or maybe even Wookiee Life Day. The Star Wars lightsaber hilts included in this Advent-like calendar include Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Ben Solo, Kylo Ren, and Qui-Gon Jinn. Also, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, Rey Skywalker, Count Dooku, and a Clone Wars era Anakin Skywalker. Each hilt comes in an individual display crate with a clear front. In addition, each crate features each particular character’s name. And it includes a display card with their affiliation and details of the blade color. You can lock in the crates together, and the Star Wars countdown calendar arrives in a tray box.
Sadly, this set has no Ahsoka Tano, Kana Jarrus, or Ezra Bridger lightsabers, nor any for the Mandalorian Darksaber. Maybe they decided to keep this to the Skywalker Saga films only? And although he’s in the films, no Darth Maul, thanks to his lightsaber being double-bladed. But if this is successful, maybe Star Wars will do a second lightsaber Advent/countdown calendar set next year. And then you’ll get your chance for a tiny Cal Kestis lightsaber, or one for Sabine Wren. Right now, the Star Wars miniature Legacy Lightsaber Hilts Countdown Calendar is only available for back order on the official Disney online store. It’ll set you back $99.99.
