Hereditary is one of the greatest horror movies ever made. It’s the scariest film I have ever seen. That scene….that scene…made me physically ill for hours. It’s why despite loving Ari Aster’s masterpiece I never, ever, ever want to see it ever again. But you know when I definitely don’t want to be thinking about this nightmare of a story? When I look at my Christmas tree. But if you’re a true horror sicko (complimentary), the A24 Shop has you covered this holiday season. It’s turning the most wonderful time of the year into the most terrifying with a set of absolutely unhinged Hereditary ornaments.
And yes, it “celebrates” that scene. Yeah, that one.

The A24 Shop calls its new Hereditary Ornament Set “heirlooms for your family tree.”
….Sure.
At the very least they’ll be a big hit with any secret demonic coven members who might stop by to sing satanic carols. The collection features three hand painted glass pieces. It includes King Paimon with his busted nose and crown There’s also a severed pigeon head, because of course there is. And in case you want to be absolutely sick on Christmas morning, it also includes Charlie’s head. Charlie’s rotting, torn apart, bug-covered decapitated head.
They’re calling it “the most inappropriate Christmas ornament ever.” Who is “they?” Me. I’m “they.” And I’m “right.”

No word on whether or not you should expect your tree to suddenly burst into flames if you actually hang these. But it’s probably best to keep a fire extinguisher nearby just in case.
This Hereditary Ornament Set makes A24’s X Trilogy Christmas Bundle look downright adorable. So obviously, some of you sickos (again, complimentary) will absolutely need this for your tree like Charlie needed her brother’s body. If you’re one of those people you can order yours ($36) now. It will ship by December 1.
Years from now you can pass it down to your kids. Or burn them in a volcano. Either/or. Just don’t gift me a set this holiday season. All the reasons I love Hereditary are why I don’t want to be thinking about it during Christmas. Or any other time of the year.
