The two companies will combine regulated market infrastructure with crypto-native expertise to create an easier path for institutions to access cryptocurrencies, tokenised assets and derivatives.
The move reflects one of the strongest trends in 2025 as financial giants look for ways to serve clients who want both safety and innovation under one roof.
A New Bridge Between Two Financial Worlds
One of the first steps is a deep connection with 360T, a large foreign exchange trading venue within Deutsche Börse Group. Through this link, Kraken clients will gain access to bank-quality FX liquidity. That improves how they move between fiat currency and digital assets, giving them faster routes in and out of crypto. A real-world example shows why this matters. Asset managers who handle large orders often face delays and slippage when moving into crypto. Access to deeper FX liquidity reduces those problems and creates smoother execution.
Kraken will also expand access using its Embed platform. This tool lets banks and fintech firms offer crypto trading inside their own products using secure back-end services. Institutions in Europe and the United States will be able to offer digital assets to customers without building the technology themselves. This approach follows a wider trend. Many financial firms now prefer to integrate crypto through white label services rather than develop costly systems from scratch.

Another focus is tokenisation. Kraken and Deutsche Börse will work to integrate xStocks within the 360X ecosystem, expanding access to a widely used standard for tokenised equities. They also plan to distribute tokenised securities held at Clearstream to Kraken clients, bringing traditional financial products into digital form.
