He’s here! Mr. House, played by Justin Theroux, has finally arrived in the present, Wasteland timeline of Fallout season two. Yes, the computer-screen version of Mr. House is officially present in the world of the Fallout series. We don’t know what happened to Mr. House between the last time we saw him alive, confronting Cooper Howard in the time before the Great War, and when the bombs fell. And we don’t know what has happened to Mr. House between the last time players saw him in his computer-screen version on Fallout: New Vegas (in various circumstances, pending your ending of choice) and this moment, 15 years later. But we do know that The Ghoul brought Cold Fusion to New Vegas with a specific intent on Fallout season two: to wake up Mr. House. And wake up Mr. House, he did—the computer has rebooted, and the screen is online.

Of course, we don’t know exactly what The Ghoul is thinking. But context clues make us feel like The Ghoul thinks this computer form of Mr. House can somehow save the Wasteland in Fallout season two. Why else give the most powerful man in the world, and a bad one, if you ask The Ghoul, access to unlimited power in this way? The Ghoul even basically tells Maximus that he doesn’t think giving Cold Fusion to a good person is going to do much of anything. The Ghoul has already tried that on for size in the past, and the bombs still fell. Instead, The Ghoul wants to give Cold Fusion to “a really bad person” in order to save Lucy and his family. And he sure does exactly that. And so, Mr. House arrives in the present timeline on Fallout season two, donning his computer-screen form—and we are excited to see him.
Computerized Mr. House doesn’t get to do too much in his screen form yet on Fallout season two. He only smiles merrily at down The Ghoul and says, “Well, hello, old chum.” Well HELLO, indeed.
There’s only one more episode of Fallout season two, but we have a feeling that will be plenty of time for computer-screen Mr. House to get up to much mischief. And we can’t wait.
