$40,000 Disappears From JPMorgan Chase Account in Series of Unauthorized Withdrawals, Sparking Months-Long Struggle for Reimbursement: Report Mark Emem | usagoldmines.com

A JPMorgan Chase customer says thousands of dollars were drained from her bank account with a debit card that was applied for without her knowledge.

Dr. Andrea Kaiser says a debit card was recently sent to her via overnight mail. Shortly after the card was placed in her mailbox Kaiser says surveillance footage from her door camera showed a “random person” arriving and taking the card, reports NBC New York.

Soon after, Kaiser says multiple unauthorized withdrawals of amounts ranging from $3,350 to $6,100 were made from her account within a span of days.

She informed JPMorgan Chase and also filed a police report.

“It was probably, all in all, $40,000 that was removed. And everyone I spoke to said, ‘Don’t worry, we will fix it. Don’t worry, we will fix it.’”

But two months after notifying JPMorgan Chase and law enforcement, Kaiser still hadn’t been reimbursed by the trillion-dollar lender.

That’s when she turned to NBC New York and the television station promptly raised the issue with JPMorgan Chase.

“We asked Chase to look into Andrea’s case and soon after – problem solved. A spokesperson telling us they are glad they could reconnect Kaiser with her funds.”

The bank also sent Kaiser a letter stating she has been reimbursed. The letter does not address what happened with her money or the reimbursement process.
