Jason Momoa is many things. He’s talented, very attractive, seemingly a cool dude, and always booked and busy. We can’t wait to see him as Lobo in the DCU’s Supergirl movie. And now he’s going to star in a film that will bring yet another video game franchise to the big screen. According to Deadline, Jason Momoa will star in Sony Pictures and PlayStation’s film adaptation of Helldivers. Justin Lin is set to direct the movie and it already has a release date of November 10, 2027.
The Helldivers and Helldivers 2 games were huge hits that sold millions of copies for PS5 and PC. And, the franchise continues to do well on Xbox. The second game is about an elite unit of soldiers called Helldivers who fight alien creatures threatening to destroy the fictional planet of Super Earth. I personally do not support fighting for any planet with the world “Earth” in its name because humanity is a hot mess. Let the aliens win!
But hey, we do love to see some video game action coming to real life. And who better to be a soldier in a Helldivers movie than the always-ripped Jason Momoa?
