It’s sex, drugs, and rock and roll in the newest trailer for The Vampire Lestat. Lestat is every bit a rock god (self-proclaimed) in it. And he’s looking and sounding incredible. But there might be room for a little more humanity alongside the rest of the vampiric good time. “You and Louis talking again?” Daniel Molloy tentatively asks Lestat in the back of his limo. And the slow raise of the eye Lestat offers in response might put a chill in the soul of a lesser mortal. But, of course, Daniel is now a vampire, and even as a human, we doubt he really would have blinked an eye. Still, it’s clear that the love between Louis and Lestat will be a driving force in this new season of Interview with the Vampire. And much like Lestat, we are ready to rock (roll, cry, sob, etc.)
Whenever anyone proclaims themselves to be a god, little good can follow. And it’s clear, Lestat isn’t what we might call doing well, right now. In fact, he may even be hallucinating Louis at his concert in The Vampire Lestat teaser trailer. But given the way Interview with the Vampire season two ended, we’re still holding onto some kind of hope in our hearts for a little bit of sweetness… Maybe? We said a little bit, okay?!
We also love sneaking another peek at Jennifer Ehle’s Gabriella, who is looking incredible. She and Lestat have a TANGLED relationship to say the least.
Missing from the narrative yet again in this The Vampire Lestat teaser trailer is one absent maker, Armand. We suppose it’s not called The Vampire Armand (yet). Where is his royal poutiness? We’ll have to wait and see. But Rolin Jones did promise Nerdist that he will arrive in “full gremlin” fashion and we will be pleased. So we’re holding him to that. We would like to see a little tease of what’s going to happen to Armand and Daniel in The Vampire Lestat. Please!
In any case, we’re so excited to see another incredible The Vampire Lestat teaser trailer. The third chapter of the Interview with the Vampire series releases this summer.
