LEGO had some exciting news to reveal at this year’s New York Toy Fair. Over the weekend, LEGO came out with eight awesome LEGO SMART Play sets. On top of that, four additional sets. For Star Wars lovers, one of the four is particularly eye-catching. On the horizon lurks a new galactic adventure following Din Djarin and Grogu, the latest installment in the expansive franchise. The Mandalorian and Grogu barrels into theaters on May 22. In light of the movie’s upcoming release, LEGO has launched a new set featuring the adorable green sidekick.
The LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) set comes with 1200 pieces and stands over eight inches tall. Grogu is clad in shiny Beskar armor, carrying a satchel and a training gauntlet weapon. It’s just as we see him in The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer, which promises a hopeful new adventure for the bounty hunter/apprentice duo. The adorable character has a lever-operated head, poseable ears and arms, and comes with a plaque and mini figure. This LEGO set is truly “the way.”
Grogu loves his snacks, so of course, the set includes a delicious blue cookie for our little green friend, too. You can put the cookie in his hand or in the satchel to save for later.
From showrunner Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian and Grogu sees the return of Din Djarin and Grogu on the precipice of war amidst a collapsing empire. Pedro Pascal stars as the bounty hunter, joined by Sigourney Weaver as a hero of the New Republic and Jeremy Allen White as Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta. Jonny Coyne returns as an imperial warlord. Now that we’re just a couple of months out, the buzz is real. LEGO is only adding to it with this adorable Grogu set.
The LEGO Star Wars Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice) set launches on April 26. You can grab it at LEGO and Walmart stores. It is also available for pre-order now.
