Since I work from home all day, every day, I took on a DIY project last year to set up a proper home office. And since I was in dire need of some proper lighting, I ended up getting Govee’s Ceiling Light Pro—and I love it! If you’re thinking about upgrading your ceiling light, this one is a great smart option, especially now that it’s on sale for $110.
It’s honestly one of my favorite purchases in the past year. The Govee Ceiling Light Pro is a 15-inch ceiling light that puts out 4,300 lumens, which is more than enough brightness for rooms up to about 270 square feet in size. For larger rooms, you can get multiple or supplement with other lights, such as lamps fitted with Govee bulbs.
There are actually two light sources here: first you have the down-facing panel itself, and then you have a ring on top (flush against the ceiling). You can turn each of these on/off individually, but the color scheme you choose for one will apply to both.
Speaking of which, Govee’s app makes it easy to change color temperature and brightness level, and you can even choose from millions of RGB colors or even pick a preset scene that’ll make the lights change in patterns. And if you play music, you can have the ceiling light sync and “dance” to the rhythm, which can be quite fun (but also tiring if you’re at my age where 9 PM is the most acceptable bedtime).
