New Pokémon plushies after Pokémon Day?? Cool! Look—there’s Magikarp, Sylveon, Jigglypuff, and…wait a minute…something’s seriously off with these Pokémon. They sorta look like…ah, of course. They’re not different Pokémon at all. They’re all Ditto. Oh, Ditto. The lovable purple blob that has the unique ability to transform into any Pokémon in the world. You, too, can own adorable stuffed versions of Ditto in their many forms. The Pokémon Center just launched more than 30 plushies of Ditto as other Pokémon, and it’s giving serious Ditto fever.
Ditto Used Transform!
Ditto as Snorlax, Ditto as Vaporeon, Ditto as Exeggutor…the list goes on. What I really like about this launch is that The Pokémon Center didn’t just choose to transfigure Ditto into the most well-known Pokémon, they went pretty creative for a lot of them. I mean, how often so we see merch of Omanyte or Electrode?
It’s delightful to see Ditto’s face on a variety of different Pokémon. Something unnoticeable enough that you can keep in the corner of your room to make your friends do a double take. I reallyyy like Ditto as Exeggutor. I think because Exeggutor has such a recognizable normally, that it’s amusing to see Ditto’s simple smile plastered across three times. If you prefer Ditto in their regular form, the product line has a version of that, too.
With these adorable plushies up now on The Pokémon Company website, we are feeling the Ditto love. The only drawback is that there’s not more. I want to see Ditto as EVERY Pokémon! Okay, I might be exaggerating just a little bit. That would be a lot of Dittos. I guess we’ll settle for having every Pokémon as their own logo for the 30th Anniversary.
