The Switch 2 has a lot of good upgrades, especially when compared to the older model. The display also supports up to 120fps, doubling the refresh rate of earlier models and helping games look smoother and more responsive.

Another major improvement is the dock, which now supports 4K output when connected to a compatible TV or monitor.

The Switch 2 also has redesigned Joy-Con controllers. They can attach magnetically now instead of sliding into place. Even better, when detached, you can move them like a mouse, making it easier to navigate in certain games. The console includes 256GB of internal storage, which is a big increase from the original. Additional storage is still supported via microSD cards, although you’ll need the newer and more expensive microSD Express format. If you’re upgrading from an older Switch, transferring your games and account data is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.

The one feature we still wish Nintendo had included is an OLED display. While the LCD panel is an improvement over the original, it can’t match the contrast and color vibrancy of OLED technology.
