The company is cleverly calling this search Slasher Manhunt, and it celebrates the Slasher IPA, which is a part of a limited-edition Hoppy Pack. This contest is also a partnership between Voodoo Ranger and Halloween: The Game.
Anyone with the legal name Michael Myers can run to this website and enter. The search for the luckiest Michael Myers will end on October 7 in NYC at Party Without Fear, a special activation where a bunch of folks with same name can get special rewards, drink, game, and score giveaways. The Michael Myers who gets free beer for a year will be announced on October 19, which is the silent killer’s actual birthday. Now this is a fun bit of marketing.
“Being named Michael Myers has come with enough baggage, so we’re here with the beer,” said Kiron Chakraborty, Marketing Director of Voodoo Ranger. “We’re rewarding real Michael Myerses with a year’s supply of Voodoo Ranger because Halloween deserves to be celebrated, not endured.
