Crypto assets flipped green last week, with huge inflows recorded across retail and institutional markets. The resurgence in whale numbers and macro factors sparked bullish interest amid rising projections. Altcoins surged alongside Bitcoin (BTC), leading to a slight drop in the latter’s market dominance.
XRP, Solana, Cardano Record Massive Gains
XRP and other altcoins pulled sharp inflows, igniting bullish projections to possible all-time highs. Digital assets have picked up billions following the last dip, taking the total market cap above $3.7 trillion, while its trading volume spiked over 20% in the last seven days. Solana (SOL) tops the charts among gainers with 50.5% weekly flows.
Today, traders pushed it 15% higher, slightly above the $290 mark. Solana also recorded growth in its institutional numbers as investors look toward spot ETF approvals. With rising demand, several bulls tip the asset above the $300 mark.
XRP has dominated altcoin charts this year after reclaiming its spot as the third-largest crypto by market cap. The asset trades at $3.19, up 26% last week, attracting billions to its market cap. Daily volumes fluctuate around $12 billion, spurring investors to project a higher price in the altcoin season. After tapping $3 for the first time in six years, bulls have set a massive $400- 450 range due to several factors.
Firstly investors’ appetite for spot XRP ETFs is climbing through the roof after the success notched by Bitcoin products. This gateway can pull another string of institutional demand to the asset. Furthermore, Donald Trump’s second term resonates with market participants after promises concerning the industry. Favorable crypto rules are expected to boost confidence, attracting growth to the US market.
Cardano’s Roadmap Inspires Upswing
Cardano (ADA) rose in line with other crypto assets in the same time frame. ADA price is up 8% and trades at $1.09, with bulls pushing for a higher figure, citing network developments. Notably, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson revealed three themes for the network in 2025.
“Now that we have governance moving along really well, this year I’m going to focus deeply on three big themes for Cardano: 1) Bitcoin DeFi on Cardano (Market is 4 times the size of Ethereum and Solana combined) 2) 24/7 work on scalability, including Leios
3) Making Cardano a peninsula, not an island. Integrations, integrations, integrations. Already got a meeting with Chainlink on the books. Stablecoins next,” he wrote on X.
