Beatbot targets the midrange with its Sora 70 robotic pool cleaner | usagoldmines.com

Advanced pool robots can easily top $1,500, and the most advanced models are now priced at a whopping $4,000 or more. Finding value in the robotic pool cleaner space is difficult, which is why market leader Beatbot is introducing a new collection of robots, the Beatbot Sora series at CES 2026.

The Sora 70 is the first model in the new series (which bears no relation to the popular AI generator app), and to the casual eye it looks a lot like Beatbot’s existing AquaSense robot models. It’s a tall unit mounted on small treads, featuring suction power of 6,800 gallons per hour, and an oversized six-liter debris filter basket. An optional secondary filter allows the unit to capture grit and sand as small as 3 microns.

The internal 10,000mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of floor cleaning. (The bot also supports wall and waterline cleaning.)

Like the AquaSense 2 Ultra we reviewed in October, 2025, the Sora 70 can also clean the surface of the pool, using dual water jets to scoot along the surface. In this mode, the battery can provide up to 7 hours of uninterrupted cleaning time.

And unlike that model, the new Sora series is capable of cleaning in shallow water, with as little as 8 inches of coverage. This allows the unit to reach steps and shelves that are off-limits to most other robots, although Maytronics also released a similar feature with its new Dolphin Eon series, announced here at CES on January 4.

Like Beatbot’s AquaSense robots–the company announced a new high-end model in that series, the , the AquaSense X–just yesterday, the Sora 70 parks on the surface of the pool at the end of a cleaning cycle, eliminating the need for using a pole or a remote control to bring the robot up from the bottom of the pool. This feature is, for the time being, unique to Beatbot—and it’s a major convenience that streamlines and improves the clean-up process, especially in the off-season when pool water is very cold.

The catch: Pricing on the Sora 70 has not yet been set, so we’ll have to take Beatbot’s claims of affordability on faith for the moment. The unit will go on sale beginning in the Spring of 2026.
