Cantor Fitzgerald, a leading global financial services firm, is partnering with SoftBank, Tether, and Bitfinex to build a Bitcoin acquisition vehicle.
The new venture will be called 21 Capital and is expected to raise $3B worth of Bitcoin from its partners – $1.5M from Tether, $900M from SoftBank, and $600M from Bitfinex.
21 Capital looks to follow MicroStrategy’s investing path, which saw a surge in market cap (all the way up to $91B) after shifting to Bitcoin.
