Everybody seems to be waiting for 20th January. That’s Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the USA. Until then, the crypto market will most likely keep going sideways. Bitcoin stays in the $92K to $95K range. It’s not very exciting, is it?
However, this is one of the best opportunities to get many altcoins at current prices. We may not see these prices again for a couple of months. So, pick the right altcoins now, and reap the benefits in a couple of months from now. Here are four altcoins I picked today for you.
Ripple ($XRP)
One of the big surprises for me is the return of legacy coins like Ripple’s $XRP. The main reason has to be the SEC lost their long-lasting lawsuit against Ripple. This lasted around four years.
However, check this out, Donald Trump becomes the 47th US President later this month. This was reason enough for current SEC chair Gary Gensler to step down come 20th January. Paul Atkins, a much crypto-friendly SEC chair, will take this seat.
Bank of America supposedly uses $XRP for all its internal transactions. We don’t believe this, but we DO believe the number of transactions BofA is using on XRP is growing. Fox News followed this up with some amazing news as well last week, about $XRP. “Ripple is the track that everything will be running on in the future.” If this is true, that’s massive news for Ripple and $XRP.

Furthermore, we also have Ripple’s new stablecoin $RLUSD. This new stablecoin could gain market share quickly. Especially in Europe, with $USDT being sidelined there. So, plenty of positive developments for Ripple are going on.

Cardano ($ADA)
Cardano and its $ADA token is another legacy coin that resurrected. Both $XRP and $ADA have one big common denominator in their current price action. That’s Donald Trump. It looks like Charles Hoskinson is about to become part of Trump’s advisory team.
He will be advising on crypto policy. Besides that, Cardano has more going on for itself. But first off, you want to check my view on how much $ADA it takes to become a millionaire. It’s a recent video I aired, only three weeks ago.
Cardano and Ripple share another common denominator. That’s the call for an ETF for both of them. There’s also talk about using Cardano’s blockchain tech for a new federal voting system.
Despite Hoskinson previously bashing Bitcoin, Cardano has become a Bitcoin layer. The good thing is that Hoskinson is much more open to other projects now. He’s even been praising Sui last week.

Just when you think Sui will slow down like @blknoiz06 said, more and more high figure individuals are giving $Sui a vote of confidence.
The current $ADA price of 94 cents could rip to shreds soon. A new ATH may well be in the cards.
ai16z ($AI16Z)
With ai16z ($AI16Z), we’re in a new shiny coin sector, AI agents. This is currently the hottest and newest trend in crypto. I already covered four hot AI agents only two weeks ago in a video. Last week, I covered how to find AI agents, you can also check that video out.
But back to ai16z. It should come as no surprise that this started out as a parody. However, ai16z is currently the third-biggest AI agent platform around. Its market cap is close to $2 billion. The current $$1.08 AI16Z price tag seems like a bargain.
AI agents are new, but it seems that they will stay around for a while. I can only see them progress and become better at what they do. Especially ai16z has good cards since it’s an investment agent. It currently has 45k partners and $25 million AUM (assets under management).
AI agents are autonomous and can make their own decisions. They learn and grow the more interaction we have with them. Truly a fascinating development.
Chainlink ($LINK)
My last pick of today’s altcoins is Chainlink ($LINK). Providing you’ve been following the channel, this is not only an all-time favorite of mine. The Altcoin Buzz team also likes this project. A lot.
Chainlink is an oracle, and they are crucial for blockchains. As of today, blockchains can’t communicate with the outside, real-time world. That’s where oracles come to save the day. Chainlink is the absolute market leader in this field. Its market cap is 11x higher than the number two project.
Chainlink has a lot going on. For starters, World Liberty Financial, Trump’s DeFi project, invested $2 million in $LINK. It only purchased six coins and $LINK is one of them.
One of the key features of Chainlink is its CCIP. That’s its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. It works as a bridge between various chains. It lets them transfer assets and messages between them.
Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) have been testing the use of Avalanche and @chainlink‘s Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for tokenized asset settlement.
The current $LINK price is $18.46. However, in early December it peaked at $25. With all new developments, I can see it easily get to $30 or higher.
