It’s time for our favorite question. Does Fallout season two’s finale episode have a post-credits scene? And if so, what does it mean? Well, if you don’t want any spoilers, we suggest you head back to our Fallout episode seven coverage right away.

Does the Fallout Season 2 Finale Have a Post-Credits Scene?
Yes, the Fallout season two finale episode has a post-credits scene. After the first batch of credits rolls on Fallout season two’s last episode, one additional scene takes us back to the Brotherhood.
Fallout Season 2’s Post-Credits Scene, Explained?
But what happens in the Fallout season two finale post-credits scene? Well, we head back to check in with the Brotherhood. We haven’t seen the Brotherhood since episode five of Fallout season two, when Maximus, Thaddeus, and Dane orchestrated a massive outburst of fighting among the Brotherhood’s many chapters and stole the Cold Fusion diode. Maximus and Thaddeus smuggled the Cold Fusion diode away from the Brotherhood, while Dane remained behind.

In the post-credits scene of Fallout‘s season two finale, we see that the fighting has finally abated at Maximus’s old chapter of the Brotherhood. But the melee has left many injured and dead. Thankfully, Dane is not one of them, and Maximus’ friend remains alive. Dane meets with Elder Quintus, whom Maximus did not kill, and brings him the mysterious “remnants” that he requested. But what are these remnants that star in the Fallout season two finale’s post-credits scene? Well, the camera pans out, and we see these remnants are plans for Liberty Prime Alpha. Dun… Dun… Dun…
Elder Quintus says that he “wanted the Brotherhood to unite out of the virtue of [his] heart, but now Quintus the Unifier is dead and Quintus the Destroyer is born.” And we know Quintus and his chapter of the Brotherhood could certainly cause some destruction if they manage to build and power Liberty Prime Alpha.
What Is Liberty Prime Alpha in Fallout?
But what is Liberty Prime Alpha in the world of Fallout? Well, we have a full explainer for you to read on the subject of the Liberty Prime superweapon, introduced in the Fallout season two finale post-credits scene. But in short, Liberty Prime is a gigantic combat robot engineered by the United States of America before the Great War as a superweapon to use against China. It never came to be used in combat, though, because it was too massive to be properly powered. But its remains were found by the Brotherhood, and eventually its power issues were resolved, and, in Fallout 3, the Liberty Prime robot was used in battle against the Enclave, until it was destroyed.
In Fallout 4, the Commonwealth Brotherhood again revived Liberty Prime in 2287, about ten years before the Fallout series takes place, and wanted to use it against The Institute, another nefarious Fallout organization, and their army of synths, or artificial humans. After defeating the Institute, Liberty Prime is retired to the Boston Airport, where he marches around, muttering about how he hates communism and loves America. It stands to reason that Liberty Prime’s power source may have caused some difficulties over the past decade, keeping it from being functional in the long term.
Liberty Prime Alpha isn’t a name we heard before, but we assume it’s an offshoot of the original Liberty Prime Robot. We also assume Elder Quintus wants to power Liberty Prime Alpha with Cold Fusion diode on Fallout season two… since it seems like the key difficulty with Liberty Prime is keeping its power going… But he doesn’t have that anymore at the time he’s making these plans in Fallout season two’s finale post-credits scene.
What Does Fallout‘s Post-Credit Reveal of Liberty Prime Alpha Mean for the Brotherhood and Season 3?
Showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet had this to say about Liberty Prime Alpha’s appearance in the post-credits scene of Fallout season two’s finale, “Quintus tried a Civil War in order to gain power. Nothing will stop this man. Liberty Prime Alpha is one of the most powerful weapons in the Wasteland. What would he be willing to do with it in order to empower himself further and guarantee his own success? I’m scared to think about it, and I hope viewers are as well.” Sounds chilling to us.

We guess we’ll have to wait and see what this Fallout season two finale post-credits scene means for season three... But we have a guess it’s something like blood, death, and destruction.
Fallout season two is now streaming on Prime Video.
