Where would you want to spend your afterlife? That’s a pretty loaded question for most people who believe that there is another realm after our time on Earth. Some people hope to get to a heavenly realm and perhaps reunite with loved ones. Others may desire to have their spirit travel among the stardust, wild and free. If you could actually choose, what choice would you make? And who would you spend your eternity with? That’s what the trailer for Eternity posits as Elizabeth Olsen’s character Joan must choose between two men who had an impact on her life.
In the clip, Joan arrives in the afterlife where souls have one week to determine how they want to spend their lives. She’s young and spry, but apparently died as an older woman considering she was married to her husband (Miles Teller) for 65 years and they had kids. Meanwhile, Joan is also reunited with her first love (Callum Turner), who died at a young age. Will she spend eternity with the man she spent her life with or explore what could have been with her first lover? It’s a heartfelt and funny trailer that explores concepts of love, devotion, and, of course, eternity.
What Is the Release Date for Eternity?
The funniest ending ever would be her choosing to not spend eternity with either man and to just go and chill on her own. Don’t get me wrong, love is beautiful and all of that. But maybe she wants to enjoy the afterlife after spending her life attached to another human being. We will see what Elizabeth Olsen chooses when Eternity hits theaters on November 26.
