EFP is a decentralized social graph designed to work with Ethereum accounts, adding a fresh layer of interaction to the crypto space.
It’s like adding a cherry on top of your Ethereum identity. It complements existing tools like ENS (Ethereum Name Service) and SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum).
What Exactly is EFP?
EFP is a decentralized social media platform where users can’t post, and there’s no separate system for usernames or profiles. Instead, EFP builds on ENS, which is already the go-to naming system for the crypto world. Think of it as a social layer on top of what you’re already doing with Ethereum. Users can follow other Ethereum accounts, tag them, and even pick their “Top 8” friends—just like the good ol’ days of MySpace.
EFP doesn’t replace apps. It enhances them. You’ll get more context for Ethereum accounts, like follower/following counts and mutual connections. It’s a way to better understand who’s who in the Ethereum community, making your interactions a little more personal. With EFP, you’ll be able to see how connected someone is to others in the crypto world.

Key Features of EFP
Follow and Tag Accounts: EFP lets you follow other Ethereum accounts and tag them, creating your network of crypto contacts.
Top 8 Friends: EFP brings back that nostalgic feature, allowing you to highlight the accounts that matter most to you. It’s a fun way to show off your closest crypto connections.
Leaderboard and Activity Feed: EFP includes a leaderboard that shows which accounts are followed the most. You’ll also get a feed that lets you see the blockchain activity of your EFP friends. While these features are mainly for demonstration purposes, they give a good preview of how EFP could be integrated into other apps down the line.
So what do I do w/ EFP?
You follow & tag other Ethereum accounts! And pick your Top 8

EFP helps bring the Ethereum community closer together by adding a social layer that was missing before. Everywhere you see an Ethereum address, you should already be seeing ENS domains. Now, with EFP, apps can show how connected these addresses are in the community, giving you a better sense of who you’re interacting with. It’s like knowing someone’s social network before you meet them—a bonus to help you navigate the world of crypto.
The Bigger Picture
While the EFP demo app is a fun way to explore its features, the real magic happens when it’s integrated into other apps. Developers can use EFP to enrich their platforms by showing account connections, follower counts, and friends of friends. It’s like peeling back another layer of the onion to get more context about Ethereum accounts.
EFP is for everyone, so we’re launching the app in more than 70 languages

EFP adds depth to the Ethereum identity stack, making it easier to figure out who’s active in the space and who’s just passing through. As they say, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” and with EFP, you’ll know both.
