We’re getting into the endgame of Fallout season two now. With just three episodes left before what will undoubtedly be another explosive finale, storylines are starting to converge this season. In Fallout season two, episode five, we saw Lucy and The Ghoul finally make it to New Vegas on their quest to track down Hank MacLean and “bring him to justice for his crimes.” But things did not exactly go as planned for Lucy. After The Ghoul’s betrayal, Lucy managed to send him flying out the window, but she could not escape the drugs he put in her system. And right as the episode came to an end, we saw Kyle MacLachlan’s Hank leaning over his daughter. “My little Sugarbomb!” And we all gasped. But now, the real plot thickening begins. In our exclusive clip from Fallout season two, episode six, we get to see Hank and Lucy reunite. And, as is always the case with Hank, in this Fallout clip, he’s up to some slippery business behind his charming smile. But will Lucy give in to join her father in his plots, or will she resist and remember everything she learned in the Wasteland? Watch our Fallout season two, episode six exclusive clip below and decide for yourself.
This entire season on Fallout, we’ve seen Hank MacLean perfecting Mr. House’s Brain-Computer Interface Implant chip… or mind-control device for short. And finally, he managed to make the terrible little device work WITHOUT exploding someone’s brain in the process. Now, it seems like it’s time for the natural next step in any corporate expansion, mass production and distribution!
In our exclusive clip from Fallout season two, episode six, just in time for his reunion with Lucy, Hank MacLean seems to have gathered a whole group of mind-controlled assistants. They appear to be helping to create even more devices to spread the, uhm, good word about giving up your free will for the promise of… a white button-down and a tie. Lucy wants to free these good denizens of the Wasteland from his grasp, and genially, in our Fallout season two clip, Hank appears to be playing along with her… for now. Or is that playing with her? It’s hard to tell with Hank.

Kyle MacLachlan is delivering an absolutely chilling performance this season as the nicest man you’ll meet, whose warm smile probably promises you ends you don’t want. And it’s just this kind of banal evil that Fallout so deftly makes chilling in the best way. Forget bombs, although Hank MacLean has those to be sure. It’s the way MacLachlan’s Hank so sincerely agrees that the surface is scary, and so innocuously, yet clearly, mocks the sentiment that his “daughter’s moral code demands” the people around him be given choice in life that truly has shudders running up our spines.
But it gets worse. In our exclusive Fallout season two, episode six clip, Hank wants Lucy to pull the wool back over her eyes as well. He wants her to forget that she is determined to bring him to justice and join him in his continuing efforts to squash the world under his thumb. Hank ostentatiously brings two men before Lucy: one is the sweet old fellow from the New California Republic’s New Vegas outpost, the other an angry member of Caesar’s Legion. (Yikes!) It’s clear the men are on the verge of violence of some kind. And Hank thinks Lucy can help “fix” them if she just agrees to push a button. Just a simple button to activate mind-control. It’s all very easy and swell, if you’re Hank MacLean.

But will Lucy do it? Will she surrender the person she has become in Fallout season two for the comfort and “peace” her dad appears to offer her? Our exclusive clip won’t tell where this reunion between Hank and Lucy MacLean will go; only Fallout season two can do that. But you’re in luck because Fallout season two, episode six, releases on January 21. So there’s only a little bit more time to wait before one of the best shows on TV returns.
Fallout season two is now streaming on Prime Video. New episodes release on Wednesdays. Fallout season one is also streaming in full. So do yourself a favor and watch it.
