Today, Capcom announced its showcase, dubbed Capcom Spotlight, which will be held next Thursday at 3 PM PDT/6 PM EST/11 PM BST. The showcase will last 40 minutes and feature upcoming games such as Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6.Â
The Japanese video game company plans to release Resident Evil Requiem on February 27 next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Street Fighter 6, which was released this month on the 5th for the Nintendo Switch 2, is expected to receive news in the upcoming spotlight. Capcom revealed that there will be interviews with developers in the showcase and more news on upcoming games.Â
Capcom to host a showcase spotlight next weekÂ
Capcom announced Resident Evil Requiem with a trailer earlier this month during the Summer Game Fest. The Requiem is a survival horror game serving as the 9th release in the series. The title is currently under development using RE ENGINE, Capcom’s proprietary game engine, with extensive development expertise.Â

The video game company revealed that it is developing the game to meet the high expectations of both long-time series fans and the global gaming community. According to Capcom, the Requiem will usher in a new era of survival horror. The studio added that it will incorporate technological advancements and the development team’s experience into a story with rich characters and gameplay.Â
Requiem will be playable in either first or third person, which is expected to soothe some who criticized the switch to the first-person perspective in Resident Evil 7.
The trailer didn’t show any sign of Leon S. Kennedy, who fans consider the actual protagonist of Resident Evil Requiem. Fans await Capcom to reveal more to see how Leon surfaces, probably in the showcase next week.Â
The Resident Evil 9 trailer centered on introducing Grace Ashcroft, who is suspected to be the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak’s Alyssa Ashcroft. It revealed a ruined Raccoon City, destroyed by a missile strike at the end of Resident Evil 3.
Many Resident Evil games have featured Raccoon City, but the memorable one is the Leon starring Resident Evil 2. Returning to this location hints at a plotline featuring Leon, especially when paired with Ashcroft’s position as a government agent.
Pragmata’s release date was announced earlier this month to be sometime next year. The game was initially revealed in 2020 and set for a 2022 release, but it was later postponed due to internal setbacks. Pragmata will feature an astronaut and a small girl starring in the game.
The game trailer shows that gamers can play as an astronaut named Hugh, who has had an unexpected encounter in space that has left him vulnerable. The astronaut is saved by a little girl named Dl0367, but the astronaut names her Diana.Â
Capcom plans to feature extended news on previous games
Monster Hunter Wilds fans will get details on the Title Update 2, which is set for release at the end of this month. Title Update 1 brought Mizutsune, Zoh Shia’s repeatable quest, Arch-tempered Rey Dau, The Grand Hb, Arena quests, and more.
Title Update 2 is still unclear on what is coming, although Capcom confirmed that it will continue to support the game. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Gamers expect Street Fighter 6 to turn up in the spotlight next week. The game turned up at the SGF to reveal its third-year roster of playable DLC characters. Sagat is out this summer, C. Viper will be out this fall, Alex will be out early spring 2026, and finally, Ingrid will be out late spring 2026. The trailer released during the announcement included a brief look at Sagat’s gameplay.
The trailer revealed designs of each upcoming DLC character for Street Fighter 6. The veteran Street Fighter villain performed his trademark Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut, and Tiger Knee special moves against rival Ryu. Â
