I Ate Texas Pete Spaghetti While Watching Its Spaghetti Western Film Tai Gooden | usagoldmines.com

Texas Pete is serving up new ways to make your meals delightfully spicy. Earlier this year, the famed hot sauce brand lassoed fans in with the release of a spaghetti Western film. What does a Texas Pete movie look like? Do spaghetti and hot sauce really pair well to create a culinary masterpiece? I found out when Texas Pete sent us a meal kit and a link to its spaghetti Western flick. Yes, I made a piping hot spaghetti dish and watched the drama unfold in Flavorado.

First, let’s get into this meal kit. It’s by far one of the most creative packages that I’ve seen from a brand. It featured fresh garlic, finishing salt, a bottle of original Texas Pete hot sauce, a bottle of sauteed garlic Texas Pete, a package of spaghetti noodles, and a very cool wooden spoon with the brand’s logo emblazoned on its handle. That was pretty much everything I needed to make the recipe that was written on the package AND in a clever video clip: Spaghetti Aglio E Olio.

It is one of several recipes that appear in the Texas Pete spaghetti Western film, and it is quick, flavorful, and pretty easy to adapt to your own tastes. Like the video version, I jazzed mine up a bit, adding some crushed red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley into the mix.

It literally took less than 20 to pull this all together, and you can easily keep it vegan by skipping the cheese or using a vegan Parm. I also added more hot sauce into the mix, allowing those noodles to really soak up the sauteed garlic flavors. Yummy.

Then, it was time to head to 1878 Flavorado with my bowl of spaghetti in hand. We meet Johnny Alfredo, who heads into a saloon to grab some of his favorite Texas Pete flavored spaghetti from Miss Marinara. Things go awry when Clyde Carbonara makes a dramatic entrance, declaring that this town ain’t big enough for two spaghetti recipes. He says his carbonara should be the one and only, but Johnny Alfredo says that Texas Pete can bring flavor in a lot of different ways.

And that’s what we see in this film, which takes you through several ways to make Texas Pete powered spaghetti. Johnny goes to the famous Al Dente, who shows him the spaghetti cookin’ way, so he can face off against Clyde. And well, we learn a lot about how to make spaghetti. It is basically just one big marketing campaign for Texas Pete with dashes of western humor? Yes. Is that what you should expect? Also yes.

I do love this litany of recipes, and how they are all made with just a few ingredients and a little bit of time. As a North Carolina native, Texas Pete reigns supreme in my household, and I enjoyed diving in with some new products. I didn’t get to use the Texas Pete Dust nor the finishing salt, but there are recipes included in this film and on its website where those will come into play. Texas Pete is smart as a whip for delivering new ways to keep themselves at the forefront of the hot sauce game.
