The Merach Stair Stepper, an at-home cardio machine that normally retails for $149.99, is currently on sale for $91.19—a 39% discount that makes this product something I can finally endorse. When I previously reviewed an older version of this stair stepper, my biggest complaint was the lack of resistance options and the limitations that created for users at different fitness levels. The good news? This current model addresses that major shortcoming head-on.
The Merach Stair Stepper is a manually sliding stair climber, meaning it requires you to control both the upward push and downward descent, engaging different muscle groups than you’d expect. And now, the updated version on sale now includes adjustable resistance. Muscle building requires gradually increasing resistance, weight, or intensity over time, so this will be a machine that can grow with you.
Still, even once you hit the machine’s maximum resistance (which appears pretty modest), this stair stepper is more suited for general anti-sedentary goals (as opposed to something that will give you a new giant butt). Even if I consider this stair stepper more “fun activity while watching TV,” rather than “life-changing piece of equipment,” I do sincerely enjoy the light cardio I get from this device.

The stair stepper’s foldable, vertical storage is a huge plus for floor space. Although, the reality is a little more cumbersome than advertised: To fold the unit, you need to partially disassemble it by removing a few adjustment knobs and loosening bolts. When you want to use it again, you’ll spend several minutes reassembling and tightening everything.

The bottom line is that the addition of adjustable resistance transforms this stair stepper from a basic piece of equipment into an actually valuable addition to your home gym. Or at least, it now justifies the current cost of $91.19. For Prime members seeking an affordable way to maintain their fitness routine at home, this stair stepper deal checks all the boxes: significant savings, improved functionality, and the convenience of compact home fitness equipment.
