Breakups can be hard. Not just for the humans, either. It can really send a pet on a downward spiral. At least it will on Prime Video’s upcoming animated show Kevin. The series new trailer shows what happens when a feline finds itself friendless in the big city. (And forces you to think about what your breakup is doing to your pets!) Check out Kevin‘s full trailer below.
It’s important to move on following a difficult split. That’s what the star of Kevin will do. Or at least he’ll try to. This Kevin trailer makes clear he’ll find is that life on your own isn’t exactly easy. Here’s the official synopsis from Prime Video:
After the unexpected break-up of his human “owners,” Kevin breaks up with them and moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens where a chaotic band of misfit animals will help him to figure out what he really wants out of life.

The series, which stars Jason Schwartzman as the titular Kevin, comes from creators Audrey Plaza and Joe Wengert. He also serves as showrunner and Plaza voices Dana. It will also feature Whoopi Goldberg as Cupcake. John Waters voices Armando. Aparna Nancherla plays Kevin’s new cat roommates Judy. They’ll live at a local pet rescue owned Gil Ozeri’s Seth, owner of (Big Mouth, Monsters) Amy Sedaris’ dog Brandi.
Alongside its Kevin trailer Prime Video also announced the many big-name guest stars who will join the series’ first season. It’s a hell of a list. It includes: Aaron Jackson, Addison Rae, Ben Rodgers, Carl Tart, Cary Elwes, Charles Melton, Debby Ryan, Eugene Cordero, Jim O’Heir, Joe Locke, John Milhiser, Lamar Woods, Lennon Parham, Maria Bamford, Mike Mitchell, Neil Casey, Nick Tiger Wiger, Nicole Byer, Pam Murphy, Patti LuPone, Quinta Brunson, Seth Kirschner, Stephanie Allynne, Stephen Malkmus, and Tig Notaro.
