Dbrand, a company that makes skins and cases for different devices, launched a very interesting product on April 1. In a collection titled “Touch Grass,” Dbrand released a set of skins and cases with a grassy texture, allowing you to stay grounded on the go. Despite first impressions, it is not an April Fool’s joke. It’s a limited collection available for purchase now.
The website is cryptically themed after the old style of computers and the internet in the late 90s and early 2000s. It even says, “Blue skies. A gentle breeze. Rays of sunlight washing over your face… the same pleasant warmth that drifted over all who came before you. Now, they’re six feet below grass. You, unfortunately, are still here.” I’m assuming if you buy their grassy cases, you can once again experience the gentlest of breezes and brightest rays of sunshine. Remember when CASETiFy made that Batmobile case? Phone cases these days are getting out of hand in the best way.
Scrolling down, it literally says, “buy grass, be happy,” so if you need a pick-me-up, this case may give it to you. Or you know, if you just really love grass, that’s okay too. The cases themselves look like they have strands of grass. The website confirms this, saying:
Each square centimeter of Touch Grass contains over 1,000 strands of fake grass. If you notice that some flake off, don’t worry: there’s still plenty more where that came from. Also note that this is a truly limited edition product. If you have any long-term issues with your skin, it’s entirely possible that we won’t be able to replace it with more Touch Grass.
As it says above, this is a limited edition product, so if you want it, you will have to act fast. The collection offers skins and cases for many different devices, including those from Apple, Nintendo, Google, Samsung, Microsoft, and more. Visit their website for the full range of devices. Grips for most phone types are $34.95, and cases are $69.90. Both products include a microfiber cloth. Not made of grass, however.
