After the apparent success of the totally unexpected Alarmo alarm clock, Nintendo seems keen to continue expanding its product range. The latest reveal? It’s called the Talking Flower, an interactive toy in the form of… you guessed it, a talking flower.
Talking Flower acts as a chatty companion that randomly utters comments a few times per hour. Using a button on the device, the user can trigger responses manually. That button can also be held down to temporarily silence the talking flower.
In addition to small talk, it can say good morning and good night at selected times, comment on the room’s temperature (measured with a built-in sensor), notify you when its batteries are running low and need to be replaced, and even play music. It supports 11 languages.
Talking Flower is inspired by the game Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which released on the Nintendo Switch in October 2023 and is slated for a Nintendo Switch 2 release in March 2026.
Talking Flower will release on March 12th via the My Nintendo Store and select retailers at a price of $35.
