One Piece Season 2’s New Trailer Gives Us All the Feelings
“Come Sail Away,” could not have been the more perfect trailer choice here. We are obsessed with it and the warm fuzzies it fills our heart with. As always, the new One Piece season two trailer reminds us that friendship is critical, dreaming is king, and following your heart is a must. But none of it is easy. And that’s exactly the kind of message that One Piece is so good at delivering, hopeful, but somehow realistic. Still, whatever the hardship? What could be worse than giving up on yourself? It’s a lot for a trailer to bring to us, but somehow. This one does.
As the images flash in this One Piece season two trailer, we see the Going Merry sailing off, Luffy visting the place of Gold Rogers’ execution in Lougetown, Luffy climbing up the side of treacherous cliffs in what we imagine is Drum Island, Chopper and his mentor Hiriluk bonding, the Reverse Island descent, Whiskey Peak parties, Little Island dinosaurs and dangers, Miss All Sunday’s devious smirking, Baroque Works dangers (including a bloodthirsty otter), and lots of Straw Hats being awesome. (And Zoro slashing enemies.) But above all, there is FRIENDSHIP and tons of love to go around. And it makes us feel like part of the crew. As Chopper says in the trailer, “This is the most fun I’ve ever had.”
