RDJ and Timothée Chalamet Want You to Have a ‘Dunesday’ Double Feature Tai Gooden | usagoldmines.com

Remember Barbenheimer? It was quite the fun time at the theater as fans watched the unexpected double feature of Oppenheimer and Barbie. Well, we have a chance to create that magic once again with two movies that have a little more nerdy connective tissue. On December 18, Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday will both hit theaters. Those are certainly two movies that many nerds will wanna see. Robert Downey Jr and Timothée Chalamet both know this and they even have a name for their double feature: Dunesday.

The duo appeared onstage together in Los Angeles for a Marty Supreme screening. When the topic of Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday releasing on the same day came up, RDJ had this to say, “We both have films opening on December 18, and we decided to coin it … We’re thinking Dunesday.”

We are pretty sure that neither movie necessarily needs a boost from the other. Both universes have a swath of dedicated fans. But it certainly doesn’t hurt if they join nerdy forces and encourage fans to have a Dunesday weekend. We are sure that Dunesday double feature watching will rake in billions for Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three!
