JEFFERSONVILLE, Pa. – LCR Embedded Programs Inc. in Jeffersonville, Pa., is introducing a dual-port media converter for rugged embedded computing chassis in rugged embedded computing techniques that usually require connection to 10G and 1000 Base-T exterior I/O.
This dual-port embedded computing module converts 10G and 1000 BASE-T to KR/KX for backplane slot-to-slot communications. The module is for events that require media conversion from the Base-T to embedded KR and KX backplane signaling.
The rugged converter for VPX SOSA-aligned techniques is agnostic to system structure. The 2-board stacked unit consists of the PHY and magnetics in a 1.42-by-1.34-inch dimension, and three top variants relying on cooling and mounting necessities.
The three configurations deal with cooling, mounting, and house constraints in 19-inch ATR and customized chassis, function in temperatures from -40 to 85 levels Celsius, and meet MIL-STD for resistance to the consequences of shock and vibration.
