Saturday Night Live has been around in the US for decades. Very soon, it’s spreading its wings to new territories. Announced in April, NBC’s legendary late-night comedy series is making its way to the UK. Saturday Night Live UK has now revealed the eleven individuals set to complete the inaugural cast. Here’s what we know.

Saturday Night Live UK‘s inaugural cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young. The first six episodes of the British installment of SNL premiere on Sky on March 21. Here’s what Lead Producer James Longman had to say in a statement sent out Wednesday, February 4:
“The UK is absolutely packed with incredible comedy talent right now, and this cast represents the freshest voices we have. They’re bold, exciting, and of course, incredibly funny. The chemistry between them is something special, and we can’t wait to share this funny group of people with the world.”
Fans of UK panel gameshow juggernaut Taskmaster will remember Sidi—who also costarred on HBO Max’s Starstruck, from series 18. Magliano was also on Taskmaster, coming in as runner-up for the most recent complete season, series 20. They were among the funniest on their respective seasons, which gives us a lot of hope for their SNL UK tenures.
Saturday Night Live UK will be produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video. It will stream on the UK service NOW.
