If you search for old emails in Microsoft’s Outlook email program, you won’t see them in chronological order. Instead, the program uses a feature called “Top Results,” where Outlook tries to work out for itself what’s important to you.
Many people find this meddling annoying, and fortunately, the automatic feature is easy to disable.

Open Outlook as usual and click on Settings (the cogwheel in the top right-hand corner). Select General in the left-hand column and go to Search.
Under the Search results heading, you can uncheck the Show top seven most relevant results option using the tick box. Confirm by clicking Save, and Best results will disappear from your search results.
