Forget cat and mouse. Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order is bringing us a game of spy and vampire. And honestly, that one is a lot more fun to play. We guess there comes a time in every character’s life where they must decide if they are for or against the supernatural forces that inhabit their world. Personally, I ALWAYS vote for—and even Talamasca: The Secret Order, named after the organization that tracks and contains witches, vampires, and other creatures, is making a pretty good case that vampires have more fun. At least, William Fichtner’s character, Jasper, is definitely having more fun than anyone. Which side are you on? Spies, kill rooms, and vampires, oh my! What else could we possibly need? What about a smart, secretive, (adorable) orphan, who casually has the power to read minds like Nicholas Denton’s Guy Anatole? Or, perhaps what we crave are cameos from our favorite Interview with the Vampire characters, Eric Bogosian’s Daniel Molloy and Justin Kirk’s Raglan James? Maybe what we truly need is Elizabeth McGovern’s Helen, the fierce leader of the Talamasca’s New York Motherhouse (whom we are already obsessed with)? Luckily for us, Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order trailer promises us all that and more.
It’s too soon to tell precisely which secrets of the Immortal Universe The Talamasca will unravel. But we do know this… When one gets close to vampires and other creatures, there seem to be two popular outcomes. Death or Desertion of humanity. And can you blame anyone for wanting to join the vampires in the end? This Talamasca We’ll have to see on what end of things Guy ends up before The Talamasca season one concludes.
The first episode of Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order will premiere on Sunday, October 26 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. Additional episodes will premiere weekly on Sundays. The first season of The Talamasca will have six episodes.
