Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

New to Prime Day? We have a primer on everything you need to know. Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.

Even though we love our Android flagships around here, they’re not for everyone. Not every user needs the latest and greatest processor and camera setup, and smartphone technology has come so far that you might be surprised how much you can get out of a device that costs less than $200. Case in point: the Moto G Power 5G.

A solid performer with a bunch of nice features, this thing is already a great budget friendly pick at the $299 sticker price. But for Prime Day, it’s selling for as low as $161.49 for the Pale Lilac color (the more traditional Midnight Blue can be yours for just $169.99)—yes, that’s for an unlocked, 5G ready smartphone.

Good performance and battery life

The 2024 Moto G Power runs MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor and comes with Android 14 on board. Motorola’s interface is quite minimal, and up to whatever tasks you throw at it—no laggy gimmicks here.

The screen is a vibrant 6.7-inch unit with Full HD resolution and a 120Hz display, though peak brightness is just 500 nits. On the back you’ll find Motorola’s signature vegan leather instead of plastic, which makes this phone look much more expensive than $200. There’s even a headphone jack in there.

The MediaTek processor, padded with 8GB RAM, is decent for everyday tasks, but don’t expect AAA gaming performance out of it. The 5000mAh battery will last you a long time, though—based on testing conducted by PCMag, the device can go 12 hours and 15 minutes playing 1080p video over Wi-Fi at max brightness.

The aforementioned PCMag Expert review rated it “Excellent”, even giving it the Editor’s choice award for the best Midrange Android Phone. According to PCMag, it’s “an excellent phone for Android users on a budget,” and I definitely agree.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

  • Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

  • Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

  • Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
