Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

Prime Day is in full swing, and that means tech deals are dropping fast, including a pretty steep discount on Google’s brand-new flagship. The Pixel 9 Pro (128GB, Unlocked), which just launched, is down to $734, a $265 drop from its usual $999 price. According to price-trackers, this is the lowest it’s gone on Amazon so far. As with all Prime Day deals, it’s exclusive to Prime members, but the 30-day free trial works just fine if you’re not already subscribed.

The Pixel 9 Pro comes with 16GB of RAM, runs Android 14, has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, and Google’s clean, no-bloat software experience. One of the biggest selling points is Google’s promise of seven years of software support, which is about as future-proof as Android gets. According to Lifehacker Associate Tech Editor Michelle Ehrhardt’s review, the hardware of this premium smartphone is one of the best Google has ever put out. That said, the AI features, while ambitious, are still hit-or-miss at times, but since they’re tied to software updates, they’ll likely improve with time. As for battery life, Michelle clocked nearly 19 hours of YouTube playback on a single charge during her testing of the device, which is pretty solid.

On the camera front, you get a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide with a 123-degree field of view, and a 48MP telephoto with 30x Super Res Zoom. The results are sharp, detailed, and consistent with what Pixel phones are known for. If you’re using a Pixel 8 Pro, the difference may not feel huge. But for anyone coming from an older phone or switching from another brand entirely, this is a noticeable jump in speed, image quality, and overall polish. For anyone not interested in foldables or entry-level phones, the Pixel 9 Pro is the most rounded option in Google’s current lineup, and at $734 for the unlocked 128GB version, it feels more accessible than usual.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

  • Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

  • Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

  • Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
