Jon Bernthal’s infamously violent Marvel character the Punisher is returning in 2026 for one last kill. We aren’t sure if we totally believe that Frank Castle will ever stop taking down anyone who pisses him off. But Marvel and Disney+ seem to think that’s the case… or at least want us to think so. The Punisher Facebook page announced that The Punisher: One Last Kill, a Marvel Television Special Presentation, will hit Disney+ this May.
Details about what will happen in this special presentation, which we assume will be about an hour or two, are scarce at this time. That makes sense considering that Daredevil: Born Again season two still needs to air, and we may get more information about Frank there. And, this story be the bridge towards Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which included the Punisher in its trailer.
Bernthal previously spoke about the special with The Hollywood Reporter. “I care very deeply about Frank, I’m really grateful that I’m getting the opportunity to tell the story that I think the fans deserve,” he said. “We’re giving it our all and we’re trying to tell a Frank Castle story that we’re going to turn our back on the audience — it’s not going to be easy, it’s not going to be light, and I think it’s the version that this character deserves and I’m just beyond honored and grateful that we get the opportunity.”
