Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

If you’ve been waiting to pick up a new TV, Prime Day is the perfect time to pull the trigger. There are a number of solid deals on TVs right now (as well as monitors, tablets and nearly everything else), including a few on some truly massive panels. If you’re looking for a huge screen to anchor your game day parties, or a centerpiece for your entertainment cave, you can save thousands on some high quality, practically Jumbotron-scale flatscreens.

One of the best currently available is TCL’s 85-inch 4K 85QM850G, available over at Amazon right now for $1,626.42. That’s a pretty insane price for a TV that retailed for $3,799 when it was brand new, and was $2,499.99 just a few days ago. For the math heads out there, that’s 57% off the original MSRP, and a still-very-respectable 35% off that more recent $2,499.99 mark.

The 85QM850G isn’t just a massive TV, either; it also packs some pretty sharp display tech. While it’s not quite OLED, which remains the gold standard in flat panels, it is QLED/mini-LED, which is a very close second (going off personal experience). In fact, mini-LED has some advantages over OLED. Many mini-LED displays pack superior brightness, for instance, because (as the name suggests) they pack thousands of tiny LEDs to serve as a backlight. That advantage is abundantly clear here—the 85QM850G tops off at an impressive 2,000 nits of brightness.

There’s also zero chance of burn-in with mini-LED, and the tech can be great for rooms that that tend to have issues with glare. The 85QM850G also packs more than 2,300 local dimming zones, which allow for super deep blacks and vibrant whites that pop on a near OLED level; quantum dot tech also means the panel has over a billion colors available to it for high color accuracy. While it’s capable of up to a 480Hz refresh rate with VRR and Motion Rate enabled, even its native 120Hz assures silky smooth visuals for sports and high potential frame rates for gaming.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

  • Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

  • Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

  • Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
