Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

New to Prime Day? We have a primer on everything you need to know. Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.

Prime Day’s lineup this year has a few standouts, and Bose’s SoundLink Max speaker might be one of them, at least if you’re after punchy sound and rugged looks in one grab-and-go unit. Normally priced at $399, it’s down to $299 for Prime members—the lowest price it’s ever hit, according to price trackers. That’s still a chunk of change, but if you’ve had your eye on something loud, durable, and well-designed, this Bluetooth speaker is worth a closer look.

The SoundLink Max lives up to its name with big sound and even bigger build quality. It’s got a silicone-wrapped steel frame, a woven carry handle, and a set of tactile onboard buttons that feel far better than your usual mushy speaker controls. Three front-facing drivers and dual passive radiators help push out a full, satisfying stereo image, and while it may struggle with ultra-deep bass at max volume, the mids and highs stay clear, notes this PCMag review. You get 20 hours of battery life per charge, IP67 dust and water resistance, and support for both aptX Adaptive and AAC, plus multipoint pairing for two devices.

The companion app adds some nice touches, too. You can switch inputs, adjust the EQ (bass, mids, and treble), and set a shortcut button to either the aux input or Spotify playback. The bass presets won’t make miracles happen, but they do help shape the sound if you’re outdoors or listening at lower volumes. If there’s a catch, it’s that you don’t get extras like a carrying strap in the box, and the design, while sturdy, does pick up dust. Still, for a speaker that’s meant to go from backyard BBQs to beach days without skipping a beat, the SoundLink Max gets a lot right.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

  • Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

  • Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

  • Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
