The Trump Organization is venturing into new territory in Dubai’s luxury real estate market with plans to accept cryptocurrency payments for condominiums in its upcoming $1 billion Trump Tower Dubai project. The development, announced by Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, will break ground in late 2025 with completion expected by 2030.
“This is going to be the first large-scale project that takes Bitcoin to buy units,” Eric Trump said. “That’s exciting because I love that world and believe in cryptocurrency.”
While specific details about which cryptocurrencies will be accepted haven’t been released, the company confirmed that only condominium units, not hotel rooms, can be purchased using digital currencies. The project will not involve tokenized real estate or blockchain ownership tracking.
The luxury condominiums will range in price from $1 million to $20 million, with premium penthouses at the top of the range. According to recent reports, three- and four-bedroom units will start around $1 million to $1.3 million, while two penthouses are expected to cost $20.4 million each.
Dubai: A Crypto-Friendly Luxury Hub
Dubai has established itself as both a growing luxury property market and an emerging cryptocurrency center. The city has been attracting blockchain companies, investors, and tech leaders, making it an ideal location for a crypto-centric luxury project like Trump Tower Dubai.
Eric Trump praised the city in an interview with The National, saying Dubai “has become a destination for the entire world” and “a safe haven for so many people.” He noted that people from across Europe, Asia, and Africa want to invest in the city.
This isn’t the Trump Organization’s first venture in Dubai. The company has existing partnerships with Damac Properties on two golf developments. The new Trump Tower Dubai will feature an ultra-luxury hotel, luxury residences, and a members-only clubhouse called The Trump Private.
The development will be built in partnership with Dar Global, a London-listed real estate developer known for luxury projects in the Middle East. The Trump family has previously worked with Dar Global on Trump-branded developments in Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Trump Family’s Growing Crypto Involvement
The Dubai tower project represents the latest chapter in the Trump family’s expanding involvement in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. What began with branded NFTs has grown into a diverse portfolio of crypto ventures.
Eric Trump has taken on an advisory role with Japan-based firm Metaplanet, which cited his “business acumen, appreciation for the Bitcoin community, and global hospitality experience” as reasons for the partnership. He is also scheduled to speak at TOKEN2049, a major crypto conference in Dubai, where he can market the project to potential crypto investors.
Meanwhile, Truth Social, the social media network owned by Trump Media & Technology Group, is exploring launching a crypto token and wallet. According to a letter to shareholders, the company is “exploring the introduction of a utility token within a Truth digital wallet” that could initially be used for subscription costs and later for other services.
The location of Trump Tower Dubai hasn’t been revealed yet, though reports suggest it will be situated in a major part of the fast-growing city. More details about the site, architecture, and interior design are expected to be released by the end of 2025.
Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global, described the upcoming Trump Tower Dubai as “among the most ambitious Trump-branded residential towers in the world.” The project will include what developers call “the world’s highest pool” among its luxury amenities.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower will feature design excellence, futuristic technology, and panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline. Upon completion, it aims to set new standards for luxury living in the city while pioneering the integration of cryptocurrency in high-end real estate transactions.
