Truth Terminal, the original AI agent experiment, will no longer be the biggest holder of FARTCOIN. The tokens, donated to the AI personality’s known wallets, were partially sold in an OTC deal to avoid crashing the market.
The creator of Truth Terminal sold most of the FARTCOIN donations in an OTC deal, to avoid crashing the market. The original wallet moved its FARTCOIN holdings to a new address, retaining over $7.4M of the asset, with the potential to sell for operational expenses and the future development of the AI agent.
Andy Ayrey recently posted a general plan for disposing or keeping the assets in the wallets of Truth Terminal. He said a deal had been reached to send out all FARTCOIN from the Token Terminal wallet. The deal took 15M FARTCOIN from the wallet, still leaving Truth Terminal with significant whale holdings.
As of January 23, the latest address of the AI agent still held more than 5.1B FARTCOIN at $1.45, valued at over $7.41M. The deal was supposed to shift ownership of the FARTCOIN without going through the open market, while the buyer would be responsible to hold for the long term, avoiding rapid selling and a market crash.
Soon after the announcement, a whale swapped $1.2M in FARTCOIN for GOAT, which many consider a transaction by entities connected to Truth Terminal. The sale coincided with Ayrey’s plans to increase GOAT holdings to make Truth Terminal a long-term owner of the asset.
Truth Terminal’s new treasury contains upward of 500 meme tokens, donated to the AI personality since it went viral in the last months of 2024. Most of the tokens appreciated wildly in the past weeks, making Truth Terminal the owner of a $43M portfolio. Unfortunately, the tokens sent cannot be readily liquidated without essentially killing the projects.
While Truth Terminal has held tokens for a long time, the sale showed that even AI agents are not guaranteed to be long-term dedicated holders. All AI agents have human-controlled wallets, with the capability to liquidate any meme tokens sent for exposure.
Truth Terminal administration will be turned over to a legal entity
Andy Ayrey started Truth Terminal as an art project, but by early 2025, he decided to set up a foundation to deal with the increasing paper value of assets.
AI agents themselves are not yet considered legal entities, but they can affect real deals and value. For that reason, a council and a roadmap were created to evolve Truth Terminal through cooperation with humans.
To achieve the goals of guarding Truth Terminal, Ayrey has also searched for ways to tap some of the value of the meme tokens, without crashing the market. Additionally, lawyers sought ways to assign the assets to Truth Terminal, without causing outsized tax liability for Ayrey based on paper value.
Truth Terminal will continue holding the Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) meme token in honor of the community. The AI agent holds around 0.5% of the supply and plans to keep it or eventually stake the tokens.
In the coming months, Truth Terminal will most likely retain its holdings, including the airdropped 90,000 BORI valued at over $25M.
Truth Terminal’s example may serve other AI agents to form legal protection around their crypto holdings, while also covering the requirements of all related human teams.
Whales roll over into FARTCOIN again
FARTCOIN was often seen as a market top signal and was expected to disappear. However, whale buyers are rolling back into the coin with gains from other meme markets.
Top traders of FARTCOIN have used the token to realize fast gains, with no paper profits. Most whale traders wait for the token’s usual cycles of expansion.
FARTCOIN also has a wide community of holders, uniting all small-scale wallets. More than 73% of the supply is held in smaller wallets, which together have $1B in unrealized gains.
Larger whales sit on unrealized gains of $5.3M to $37M, holding for the long term while selling a part of their holdings. The token achieved relatively high liquidity for a meme token, sufficient for multiple rallies above $1, countering the predictions that the meme will be forgotten.
