Windows 11 tests streaming audio to separate wireless headphones at once | usagoldmines.com

Microsoft is testing a new feature in Windows 11 that allows you to play audio to two wireless devices at the same time, such as two headphones or speakers. One awesome use for this is when two people want to listen to the same music or watch the same movie together with their own headphones as to not disturb anyone else in the area.

Using this feature will require two devices that each support Bluetooth LE, which also means lower power consumption and better sound quality. Once the devices are connected, you can select Shared audio (preview) in the quick settings menu.

Currently, the feature is only available in the Dev and Beta versions of Windows 11 and works mainly on certain Copilot+ PCs, such as newer Surface models and some Samsung Galaxy Books. It’s expected to become generally available at a later date.
