Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

New to Prime Day? We have a primer on everything you need to know. Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 has been on my, er, watch list since its launch two years ago. It has everything I’ve ever wanted in an Apple Watch—a bigger screen, significantly longer battery life, and support for some extras such as scuba diving. But the price kept putting me off.

As a seasoned deal hunter, I’m totally okay with buying a slightly older product at a discount, and the Ultra 2 now fits the bill perfectly: During Prime Day, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is down to its lowest ever price—as low as $649 (for some variants).

The biggest caveat to buying the Ultra 2 in July 2025 is the fact that there’s a good chance it will be supplantedin a few months if Apple chooses to launch an upgraded model later this year. At this point, the Ultra 2 is nearly two years old, as Apple did not update the watch in 2024. Some may prefer the more recent Series 10 instead, which is also on sale this Prime Day, but the target audience for the two lineups is quite different: The Series 10 is a great watch for fitness tracking and for monitoring your health, but its battery life is far too short for anyone who’s into endurance sports. If you’re training for triathlons, the Ironman, ultra marathons, or other longer activities, the Ultra 2 is your only realistic option.

At this sale price of $650 on Amazon and Best Buy, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a fairly appealing deal. You can check out Lifehacker’s Apple Watch Ultra 2 review to see if it’s right for you.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

  • Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

  • Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
