My fledglings, there has been some chatter that the full version of Long Face by the esteemed Vampire Lestat is not available to stream. In fact, there was much uproar when Jacob Anderson suggested you COULD listen to it right now at the New York Comic Con press conference. But whilst you cannot, indeed, stream it on Spotify—the full version of The Vampire Lestat‘s “Long Face” song is available to you right now (for free and legally)! And Lestat would love to hear you sing along, although he’s not actually going to stay and listen to you warble. He’s a busy vampire after all, what with The Vampire Lestat coming our way in 2026, Louis to woo, his hair to brush, etc. But like we said, he’s left you a gift, the karoke version of “Long Face,” in full, on YouTube! Read ’em (or listen) and weep!
That’s a catchy song if we ever heard it. Oooh, ohh, ahhh, ahhh. We know The Vampire Lestat‘s “Long Face” is going to be stuck in our heads ALL Day now. But you know what, we will say, “Thank you, Lestat.” And, hey, don’t worry, Lestat isn’t offended he already gave you this gift and you forgot about it. It has been a year. (Mortals.)
Season three of Interview with the Vampire promises to yield us much goodness for our ears. As composer Daniel Hart shares of The Vampire Lestat‘s music, “Lestat contains multitudes. He’s not going to be limited to one specific genre or style. We tried to span time. In the way that Lestat has lived for so long, you would think he would be influenced by more music than anybody alive now because he’s seen it all first-hand. So from classical music through the Romantic era in France, and then moving into the US—early jazz, ragtime that he would’ve seen in New Orleans, and then coming through the fifties, sixties, the beginnings of rock and roll, all the way up until now, and being influenced by people that are doing stuff now. We wanted it all to be represented. That’s what we tried for.” And YES, yes. There WILL be songs about Louis.

It will probably be some time before we hear much more of Lestat’s music though, The Vampire Lestat doesn’t release until 2026. But, as we at Nerdist shared in our Talmasca review, we will get to hear snatches of Lestat’s stylings in that show. So tune in.
In the meantime, hit repeat on Lestat’s Long Face and STREAM, yes, legally, to your heart’s content! (And stream Interview with the Vampire seasons one and two on AMC+ and Netflix.)
