A Bitcoin trader has backed a price action above $180k by 2026 amid recent market wobbles. Bitcoin price has crashed about 22% from its all-time high following trade tensions due to global tariffs. Despite the plunge, on-chain metrics and adoption trajectory remain positive, leading to expected growth above the $150k mark.
Is $180k BTC Price Possible?
CryptoQuant analyst Ibrahim Cosar shared a Bitcoin price prediction to the delight of bulls on March 10. The digital asset expert expects the price of the asset to break $150k in the upcoming bull cycle. Notably, he projected a $150k – $200k range. This new all-time high aligns with the previous bull analysis amid sustained demand.
“I expect Bitcoin to reach the $150K-$200K range in this upcoming bull cycle, and my ATH (All-Time High) price prediction is $180K. In fact, as you may recall, even major banks have only recently started making predictions for Bitcoin. However, I made this prediction a long time ago. Moreover, these banks have now started projecting price levels similar to, or even higher than, my forecast. In this sense, their predictions have almost validated my own.”
Furthermore, Cosar says the asset will hit a new all-time high above $180k by 2026. At present prices, this amounts to over 100% gains in BTC accumulations. In recent weeks, a handful of whales also made similar buys after the price hit $80k. These traders saw the opportunity to open new positions amid huge selling pressure.
Institutional demand remains at the center of BTC price movements. For the price to tap the bull cycle peak, skyrocketing adoption is needed in various markets. At press time, BTC institutional products recorded the fourth consecutive week of outflows. While this correction wiped out gains, bulls are keen on a new path with new fund flows.
Projection Joins The Bandwagon
This year, several crypto bulls made similar predictions of soaring BTC prices. ArkInvest CEO Cathie Wood doubled down on her $1.5 million price by 2030 citing a growing demand for the asset. Standard Chartered pointed to a 500k price during President Trump’s second term.
Although these are long-term predictions, most short-term values are above the $150k mark. The United States remains a major market to spur massive global adoption in the coming years. The adoption of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve among other pro-crypto activities are major market movers.
