Toulouse’s public transport operator, Tisséo, is making moves to keep up with the digital age. With Lyzi’s help, passengers can buy tickets via smartphone using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Platforms like Binance Pay process payments, ensuring a seamless experience.
According to Sacha Briand, Toulouse’s deputy mayor, this isn’t a temporary trend—it’s a real step toward the future of payments. He emphasized that the city wants to test whether crypto payments add value for commuters before expanding the feature further.

How Does It Work?
If you’re traveling in Toulouse and want to pay with Bitcoin, it’s simple:
- Open the ticketing app on your smartphone.
- You can make your payment through crypto or credit card options.
- When finishing transactions, you should make Bitcoin or any approved digital currency your choice.
