I’ve eaten a lot of strange culinary concoctions over the years. That includes many bizarre dishes designed to celebrate our most feast-able festive day, Thanksgiving. Pecan pizzas? Turkey dinner candy corn? Rachel’s meat trifle? I’ve tried them all. Now there’s a new holiday challenge for my fearless tastebuds. This year Oreo is serving up a tray of Thanksgiving-flavored cookies. And. I. Must. Have. Them. Especially the ones that sound the least appetizing.

What Flavors Are In Oreo’s Thanksgiving Release?
The Oreoid Thanksgiving Dinner Cookie Tin is a mishmash of Oreo desserts that sounds delightful and disgusting. This 12-pack contains six types of cookies (two each) inspired by the flavors of a Thanksgiving meal. It includes: Cranberry Sauce, Pumpkin Pie, Turkey & Stuffing, Creamed Corn, Sweet Potato, and Caramel Apple Pie flavors.
Will Any of Oreo’s Thanksgiving Flavors Be Good? (We’re Rooting for Cranberry Sauce, but Have Written Off Turkey & Stuffing)
While they all look great, not all of the sound tasty. The good news is that the majority of this unique Thanksgiving-inspired Oreo tin actually does. At least three of these have the potential to be genuinely amazing, with Cranberry Sauce having an outside chance of being a secret dessert banger. I don’t have high hopes for the Creamed Corn, but it could be at least interesting even if it’s not objectively good. When it comes to the Turkey & Stuffing Oreo cookie, I have negative hopes. I know from experience that flavor tends to be especially heinous when transformed into a “sweet treat.”
I love this. Truly. But The biggest issue with this collection is the presence of Creamed Corn. How did that flavor make it in? That is definitely not a universal staple of the season. Meanwhile, where’s my Mashed Potato Oreo? Where is it?

But as someone who has eaten a lot of strange novelty foods, believe me when I say that’s the last thing you can guarantee will be good about Thanksgiving Oreos.
