The iconic cookie company is releasing three new flavors: Banana Pudding, Deep Fried, and Chicken & Waffles. That’s a wide range of tastes. Which one will fans like you love the most? We’ll find out because everyone will get to vote on a weird OREO flavor to see which one sticks around.
The new Twist, Lick, Vote campaign from OREO invites snack lovers to do exactly that. For the first-time ever customers will choose which of the new batch of sweet treats will get to stick around. You don’t have to guess at which one you like, either. You can try all three contestants in this battle for a permanent shelf spot before naming your favorite. They are available for pre-sale now and will hit stores on August 24. OREO has provided an official description for all three:
- OREO Banana Pudding Cookies: Experience the flavors of the universally loved dessert through layers of sweet banana and vanilla pudding in a deliciously delectable dual-layered creme, sandwiched between vanilla wafer cookies.
- OREO Deep Fried Cookies: While state fair foods have long drawn massive crowds of their own, we’re bringing those carnival flavors straight to the cookie aisle—saving you a trip to the fairgrounds. We baked that iconic golden-fried, doughy flavor right into the cookie itself, with fried dough-flavored cookies wrapping layers of dark chocolate and fried dough flavored creme. Packed with all the state fair food flavor, minus the crowds!
- OREO Chicken & Waffles Cookies: The originally unexpected combo turned popular comfort food dish has made cameo appearances in the savory snack aisles before, but the OREO brand takes it to the next level. In a first-of-its kind for the cookie aisle, these sweet and savory OREO cookies feature a signature waffle texture embossment and dual-layered creme, both infused with sweet and savory flavor notes to give that signature fried chicken and maple syrup flavor in each and every bite.
I’d say those range from sounding “real good” to “real weird.” Which flavor profile will win? I have a feeling I know what you sickos are going to vote for, but not me. At least not blindly. I will be trying all of them first before picking. And we’ll all find out together on October 13 we’ll find out which OREO cookie will make a 2027 comeback.
